Find a nearby host — a café, hotel or guesthouse — on the map, book a drop-off window, and bring your bags over. You'll get a unique PIN to check your bags in and collect them later — no cash or paperwork needed.

Each host sets their own rate per bag, typically in the R100–R250 range. You'll see the exact price before you book.
Download the Cubby app, choose a host and a storage window, and complete your booking securely in the app.
Show your unique booking PIN to your host when you return — it's checked against your booking to confirm your bags are released to you.
Bookings are processed through Cubby's secure payment system, and hosts never see your card details — only what they need to confirm your drop-off.
Cubby's in-app messaging and support team are on hand to help you sort things out directly with your host. Every booking is tracked with a secure PIN and a timestamped check-in and check-out. Cubby doesn't currently offer a blanket insurance guarantee, so we'd recommend keeping valuables with you and relying on your own travel insurance for high-value items.

Every host completes ID verification before their space can go live on Cubby, and our team reviews each application before it's approved.

You set your own rate per bag. Hosts currently earn 70% of their listed storage price on every completed booking — Cubby's 30% share covers platform costs, payment processing and support. Payouts are processed by the Cubby team after each completed booking.
Nothing upfront — there's no signup or listing fee. You only pay Cubby's share on bookings you actually complete.
